Fight Hard & Keep Laughing

The name of this website comes from a joke I made early on in my treatment that most people won't get unless they are an NHL Hockey Fan.  I am an obsessed Vegas Golden Knights fan and I joked that I am the Ryan Reaves of Cancer Patients.  I fight hard and laugh in cancer's face like Ryan Reaves when he fights in the Hockey games. He actually saw my tweet about my philosophy to get through cancer treatment and wrote some encouragement for me which meant the world to me!

Ryan Reaves #75 is the player on our team who will punish any opponent who gets too rough with our players, he said once his job is to keep the flies off the honey!  He's a tough guy who is always laughing and smiling when he's fighting and I adopted that outlook early on in my cancer fight.  

Sound on for the video - "What are YOU gonna do? You wanna Try? I didn't think so! YOU? YOU? HA!" That's the spirit I adopted for my cancer fight. Cancer tried and I said "NOT TODAY."

The cancer fight is never over, I'll be taking drugs for 10 years to try to stop a recurrence, I'll be examined often by my doctors and I'm hoping it never returns. Maybe they will find a cure! I sure hope so. Truth is, we are all going to die someday, but I will be LIVING until it's my time, whenever that may be. I'm a SURVIVOR!
